Reflections on Into the Wild (part 2)

As I read on, I became frustrated with some of the more general social issues I encountered. My journal... reflected that. I would like to apologize, if insincerely, to the memory of Ronald Reagan.
I am somewhat reluctant to share the later and more opinionated pages; I often feel that in every area of my life I take on the role of Angry Lesbian or Angry Woman or Angry Commie or Angry Ad Infinitum. I am not angry. I just know that the phrase "the sweet, hidden petals of a woman's sex" (p. 156) makes my skin crawl in a way that means it was not written for my eyes, for me or anyone reading from my perspective. I am not angry; I do not think I am excluded from this gun-wielding, rough version of wilderness. I simply feel like I came across something I wasn't supposed to see.
